Case Study: Replacing the stationary matrix design of air preheaters at Shajiao Power Station, with Howden VN preheaters resulted an increase in unit output of 20MW and a payback period of less than 2 years.

Howden Compressors Ltd

Howden Compressors designs and manufactures rotary screw compressors that are used for a variety of demanding gas compression and refrigeration duties.

At our manufacturing plant in Glasgow we produce bare-shaft screw compressor units that are supplied globally to our partner packagers. This allies our engineering expertise with local knowledge, and enables strong support to be provided to clients. We serve the refrigeration and process gas handling markets, as well as supplying units for boosting gas turbines' fuel gas pressure and a variety of other applications. Over the years we have supplied 25,000 screw compressor units worldwide.

Having taken the first ever licence for screw compressor technology from Svenska Rotor Maskiner in 1939, we pioneered the commercialisation of the screw compressor technology, and today still remain at the forefront of its development.
